Pomfret Fish Fry


These are Pomfret Fish fillets, This Pomfret fish is a good option for Starters as it has a sweet flesh
Tasty & Easy to cook Doesn't take much time at all

Fish fillets are Marinated in a Spicy paste & Pan fried, Healthy Starter

Ingredients For Fry:

Pomfret fish 2 : Cut 1inch pieces

Red chili powder: 2-3tsps
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
Tamarind paste: 2tbsps
Salt to taste



Method
Take fish steaks & clean it nicely 
Marinate with salt leave for 5 min
Mix together Red chili powder, turmeric & tamarind paste
Apply this paste generously on fish fillets 
Leave to marinate for 5 min
Coat these in Semolina(Rava)both sides & shallow fry in oil or Tawa fry on a pan in lesser oil

Fish fry is ready to serve, Enjoy Sea food Meals

Tender Coconut Malai twister


Summer special nutritious drink, Tender Coconut water with a twist. Thin Tender Coconut flesh (Malai) served along with its tender coconut water & added natural flavour

Try this Tasty unique drink

All you need is:
Tender Coconut water: 3 Shells
Malai: Tender Coconut flesh
Lemon: ¾ lemon


Preparation of this nutritious drink:

Remove Tender Coconut water from shell’s in a big dish
Then spoon out all the white thin flesh (Malai) from tender coconut shell
Chopp it up a bit then add it to Tender Coconut water
Lastly add lemon juice mix well & Chill it in refrigerator
Serve chilled in long glasses & enjoy cooling refreshing drink





Shark curry (Mori Curry)


Mori(Shark) curry, Spicy Tangy Curry goes well with Rice

Tasty Mori fish is like Boneless with soft flesh, its very tender cooks soon

Try this easy Recipe below

Ingredients:
Onion:2
Coconut: 1cup
Garlic: 5flakes
Redchili: 5-6
Coriander: 2sps
Peppercorns: 5
Tamarind(Amsol): 1/4cup
Shark (Mori) cleaned & cubed

Procedure for Shark curry
In a pan heat oil fry Onion & Garlic
Fry for 5min then add freshly grated coconut & fry little
Remove from heat let it cool
Dry roasts  Redchilies, Pepper & coriander  & cool down

In a Mixer jar add fried ingredients & roasted Gram masalas
Then add Tamarind( amsol) add little water & make fine paste
Remove Curry Masala from Mixer jar in a Deep dish & add little water to thin it

Keep it on Heat let it boil then add salt, add Cleaned Shark Fish pieces
Let it boil for 7-8 min till it cooks
Spicy Tangy Shark/ Mori curry ready, Serve it with Rice

Khaman Dhokla

Khaman Dhokla popular dish from Gujrat, its steamed savoury Cake.

This Soft & Fluffy Dhokla is made with Gram flour. A tasty dish for evening snacks try this easy recipe
Ingredients

Besan(gram flour): 1cup
Curd --1/2 cup
Water – 1/4th cup
Sugar – 2tbsp
Redchili powder-- 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
ENO fruit salt – 1 satchet 
Oil- required to grease 

For the tempering
Oil – 2 tsps
Mustard – 1 tsp
Curry leaves-few
Green chillies- 2

Method
Take a bowl add Besan
Add curd & water gradually by mixing  and mix well. 
Add salt to taste & redchili powder then add sugar dissolved in water
Let it rest for few mins.
Meanwhile, grease the Cooker container  and keep it ready.
Put water for steaming in a steamer or pressure cooker.
When the water starts steaming, add ENO fruit salt to the besan mixture and mix well.
It will froth up well and the batter will become light and fluffy.
Pour equally into the greased container and let it steam for 15-20min or till it’s done ( when you insert a tooth pick in the centre, it should come out clean).
Remove the container  from the steamer and let it cool for few mins.
Curry to pieces & remove slowly

Temper with mustard & curry leaves add green chilli fry little then pour on ready Dhokla

Drumsticks Sambar


South Indian Sambar Combination of vegetables and lentils simmered with spices, coconut, tamarind and seasoned with Gheeasafoetida, curry leaves and mustard, it is an integral part of every formal meal.

Preparation of Gravy
Daal( lentils and vegetables spiced and tempered with gheemustard,asafoetida and curry 

Ingredients
Toor Daal: 2 cups
Oil/ Ghee: 3sps
Mustard seeds: 1/2tsp
Curry leaves littleDrumsticks 2-3 sticks cut
Brinjal:1(cubed)
Potato: 1(cubed)
Onion:1(chopped)
Tomato:1 (chopped)

For grinding:
Coconut grated: 5sps
Redchili: 5-6
Jeera: 1tsp
Coriander powder: 2tsp
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp


Procedure to follow, Simple method:

First wash the Daal nicely & pressure cook it with Onion 
Boil the Vegetables except tomato in a separate pan till soft

For the gravy :
In a blender add coconut along with other ingredients add 1/2 cup water Grind to a fine paste
In a Deep dish:
Take oil add mustard seeds let it splutter
Then add curry leaves & add the Blended paste mix add 
The Cooked Daal along with its stock 1 cup
Add cooked vegetables & add salt to taste
Now let it boil, close with lid & cook 5 min

Check the consistency if its too thick add bit more water
Drumsticks Brinjal & Potato Sambar ready serve it with Rice

Prawns Pulav


Aromatic Prawns Pulav, simple recipe tastes best.

Medium sized or small prawns are good for this Pulav it gives good taste

Prawns spices & Rice together like one pot meal for flavourful prawns Pulav. Try this easy recipe 


Ingredients:

Prawns(Deviened & cleaned): 1/2 kg
Basmati Rice soaked for 10 min:  3cups
Oil 2sps

Ghee: 2sps
Cinamin 1 inch
Cloves 5
Bayleaf 2
Onion 2
Tomato 2
Greenchilies - 4 slit
Gingarlic paste 2sp
Everst Shahi biryani masala: 1sp
Pudina (mint)leaves 

Method:

Wash  Rice & soak for 1/2 hr keep aside


  • In a Pressure Cooker Heat Oil & Ghee add cinamin,cloves, Bay leaf, then add Slit green chilies
  • Add Onion slices & fry, add gingarlic paste saute, add Pudina leaves fry it then add tomatoes chopped & fry
  • Close lid to soften tomatoes for 2 min 
  • Then add the spices powder Red chili & Garam masala/ Biryani powder & mix
  • Add the cleaned prawns(small to medium sized)fry,  
  • Cook 2 min &  then add Rice mix and add 6 cups water bring to a boil & close. Cook for 3 visels
  • Once cooled down open & mix lightly
  • Prawns Pulav is ready
