Rice Pancakes/ Neer dosa is a soft thin Pancakes goes well with chicken curries
It is light type of dosa, Neer dosa is a delicacy from Karnataka part of Udupi cuisine. 'Neer' is the word for water, Rice is soaked in water for 3 to 4 hours. It is then ground to make a runny rice batter. A thin layer of batter is poured onto a heated flat griddle (tawa) greased with oil. The batter is spread with the base of a ladle or bowl to form a pancake. Chicken Rassa is Konkani style Coconut based chicken gravy spicy & creamy Recipe for this is as follows
Ingredients
Chicken: 500 grms
Cinamin:1/2 inch
Cloves: 3-4
Onion :2
Garlic flakes:10
Tomatoes: 2
Coconut:1cup
Oil: 2sps
Spice powder
Red chilies: 6
Coriender seeds:2sps
Fennel seeds:1sp
Dry roast ingredients listed under spice powder lightly
Cool this then grind to powder
In a pan heat 2sp oil add onion sliced fry & add garlic flakes
Fry nicely then add grated coconut & fry till changes colour
It must be a bit brown
Remove from heat & add spice powder to this
Once its cooled blend in a mixer with 1 cup water to fine paste
In a Pressure cooker add Oil heat it add cloves & cinnamon
Add tomatoes chopped & fry add little salt so that tomatoes softens
Once tomatoes are mushy add the ground masala paste
Add chicken Pieces mix & Add water 1 cup to make it gravy consistency
Bring to boil, then add salt to taste
Close & Pressure cook for 2-3 vissels
Spicy Chicken Rassa is ready to serve with Neer dosa & Rice
