Besan Laddo, Easy Recipe for Quick Besan ladoo
Every one loves melt in mouth ghee besan ladoo, but traditional recipe of frying the lentils(Chana daal) & making ladoos needs a lot of preparation time so try these instant ladoo using Besan(chickpea flour)
My Mom usually follows the traditional method of roasting the lentils then grinding it in the flour grinder machine usually keeping the flour a little coarse to get grainy consistency ladoo.
This time for Diwali I made her try my Instant version for a change & yes she did love it & was less time consuming, without compromising on quality, melt in mouth Besan ladoo was ready
So if you think it will not taste as good as one made with lentils try this then you will know, its as good as the traditional method with minimal effort
Ingredients
Besan(chickpea flour): 2 cups
Sugar: 2 cups
Ghee : 1 cup
Method
Powder sugar & keep aside
Heat a pan add 1/4 cup ghee
Bring the flame to sim & add besan fry
Keep frying stirring continuously
Fry till it changes colour & looks like pic above
Add 1/4 cup ghee & fry for 5 min more
Total time for frying will be around 15 min
You will no its done when it leaves aroma
Try & break the lumps formed add sugar powder
Switch off heat & cool it
Once reached room temperature divide the mix
Make 2-3 portions take one portion at a time add 2 sp ghee
Mix well & start shaping ladoos
Repeat this for the rest portions adding 2 sp ghee
Besan ladoo is ready to serve
