Mango Rice or Mavinkai Chitrana is a tangy Seasoned Rice made on special occasions like Ugadi Festival
Now it's raw mango season so make this Delicacy and relish this summer
Ingredients
Raw mango grated: 1cup
Cooked Rice: 3cups
Coconut grated: 1/2cup
Oil: 3-4 sps
Mustard seeds: 1/2sp
Curry leaves: few
Chana daal: little
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
Groundnuts: little
Green chilies: 2
Coriander leaves: little
Procedure for Mango Rice
In a Pan add oil once heated add mustard seeds then curry leaves
Add Chana daal & groundnuts & fry
Then add Green chilies & turmeric
Now add grated green mango mix well
Add salt to taste, and add cooked rice mix well. Finally add coconut & coriander leaves
Tangy Mango Rice is ready to serve
