Creamy chicken/ Murgh Kalimirchi


Creamy chicken is a Rich gravy made using Cashew paste which gives it a nice creamy texture

Mildly spiced chicken gravy this creamy chicken can be served with any Indian bread/ Fragrant Rice dishes, I have combined this with flaky Indian layered bread(Laccha paratha)



Creamy chicken/ Malai Murgh Kalimirchi uses mild spices so that you get the taste of Pepper as the main Ingredient, and the Cashew Paste gives it the Richness & creamy gravy
In this Recipe there is no paprica/ red chili powder used, just the freshly ground Pepper powder is used & all spice powder.

Follow these instuctions for preparing this dish

All you need is:
Ingredients for Marination
·         Chicken with bone: 1Kg
·         Ginger garlic paste: 2 tsps
·         Crushed peppercorns: 2 tsps
·         Cumin powder :2 tsps
·         Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
·         Hung curd: 2 tbsp
   To grind
·         Cashew: 3/4th cup
·         Onion chopped: 1 medium


   For Gravy
·         Oil: 3 sps
·         Ginger: 2 tsps
·         Chopped chilies: 2
·         Salt to taste
·         Onion chopped: 2
·         Garam masala powder: 1tsp  
·         Cumin powder: 1 tsp
·         Pepper Powder : 1 tsp


Step 1



Mix together Ingredients under marination with chicken in a bowl. Keep it in fridge marinate for half an hr

Step 2



Boil cashew  with Onions then cool it & Blend together Adding sufficient water and mix


Step 3



For the gravy heat oil in a pan. add  ginger, green chillies & Chopped Onions fry. and when they begin to change colour add Cashew onion paste & fry


Step 4



Add the Marinated chicken mix well add water 1 cup close lid & cook till half done



Step 5



Lastly Add Garam masala powder, cumin powder, pepper powder  & cook adjust salt



Step 6



Garnish with Coriender leaves, Serve with Laccha Paratha
