Vermicelli Upma



Savoury Breakfast dishes are a hit.....Everyone Loves this Light breakfast Vermicelli the wheat Noodles tossed with vegies

Traditionally this is served as Breakfast dish in South India Now its also a popular snacks dish for the evenings

Ingredients:
Wheat vermicelli: 2 cups
Oil: 3-4 sps
Mustard seeds: 1sp
Curry leaves: 6-7
Onion sliced: 1
Grren chillies: 2
Tomato: 1
Garam masala: 1sp(optional)
Coriender leaves: ½ cup
Ghee(Clarified butter): 1sp
Water: boiling hot 4 cups
Lemon juice: 1sp
Cashe nuts fried for garnishing
Salt to taste

Method:
Heat oil in a pan & give tempering of mustard seeds & curry leaf
In the meanwhile keep Water(for 1 cup vermicelli 2 cups water) total 4cups to heat & bring to boil
Then in the pan add greenchilies & onion julians & sauté till colour changes
Then add the Vermicelli & roast nicely on medium flame for 5 min
( you can use roasted vermicelli also)
Then add chopped tomato mix well keep for 2 min then add Water must be hot
Mix add salt & garam masala( ortional) then let it cook for 2-3 min closing lid
Mix well add coriander & ghee cook abt a minute it will dry out
Add lemon Juice &  cahew nuts give it a mix

Serve for breakfast this tasty Vermicelli Upma
