Paneer in Capsicum gravy




Paneer in capsicum gravy.....Making the same Cashew based gravy & Creamy gravy.... Try this Capsicum gravy for Paneer

This sause is Versatile its got Onion, capsicum tomatoes which is the Base of gravy...for a different taste....Even this sause can be Used as Pizza sause....So make More of it & store in fridge to Use some other day to make Pizzas(or keep the left overs panner gravy for Pizza it will taste awesome I have tried these both)




Ingredients:


1 1/2 cup cottage cheese (Paneer)
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
2 green cardamoms
1 medium sized onion (chopped)
1 large capsicum
1 cup fresh coriander leaves
10-15 garlic cloves
4-5 tomato 
4 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1+1/2 teaspoon Chili powder

salt to taste

Method:

  •   In a Deep dish or Kadai  heat 1 tablespoon oil, fry onion and  1/2 capsicum till tender.
  •  Blend fried onion, capsicum, garlic, coriander leaves & tomatoes into a fine paste.
  •  Heat the remaining oil, put cumin seeds, bay leaves, cardamoms.
  •  When they make crackling sound, add the prepared paste and cook for 6-8 minutes.
  •  Add the 1/2 capsicum (chopped) cook till soft..
  •  Season with sugar, salt and chili powder
  •  Lastly add paneer (cottage cheese) cook for 2-3 min
  •  Garnish with coriander leaves and Serve hot!

Note:

I have Used just 1/2 Capsicum to grind....for more Capsicum Flavour You can Use full 1 Capsicum for the gravy Base

I have Addes the Tomatoes along with Onions to the Base gravy, You can Use even use just pureed Tomatoes instead of adding with Onions...In that case add the tomato puree after frying the other 1/2 Capsicum, the add the spices...
